BRRRRR!!!! Camping in Prescott

We planned a camping trip in April to Prescott, AZ thinking the weather would be warm at home. We thought it would be nice to go to cooler country. Ha Ha Ha!! Well we got cooler weather alright. When we arrived there was snow on the ground! We froze the first night! But, the sun came out the next day and melted the snow. It turned out to be a beautiful day!

We like camping in Prescott because it is only an hour & thirty minutes away from home. We love to go into town and go to the park that always has fun activities...They were Celebrating Earth Day with many booths and a live band.

Mitch and Kylee went to Curly's BBQ and had peach cobbler. While Hannah, Mike, and I went to a booth that was selling soap and lotion made from goat milk.. We were fascinated by the family that had this booth. They shared about their Goat Ranch which was in Dewey, AZ about 15 miles away.. Hannah is reading a book about a little girl who lives on a ranch and they have goats. She was thrilled to be able to hold a baby goat named Fifi.

Hannah hula hooping in the park was fun! They toss hula hoops on the ground and adults and kids pick them up and hoop while listening to the music.Mikayla shared her goat with Hannah and gave us a wealth of information about her 2,500 acre goat ranch. She won an award as Grand Champion for Dairy Goats.

The trip was an adventure... we thought are we nuts to be out here? I am glad we went. I know one thing I don't like to be cold!! When we got back on Sunday it only took a matter of minutes to thaw out!
