BRRRRR!!!! Camping in Prescott

We planned a camping trip in April to Prescott, AZ thinking the weather would be warm at home. We thought it would be nice to go to cooler country. Ha Ha Ha!! Well we got cooler weather alright. When we arrived there was snow on the ground! We froze the first night! But, the sun came out the next day and melted the snow. It turned out to be a beautiful day!

We like camping in Prescott because it is only an hour & thirty minutes away from home. We love to go into town and go to the park that always has fun activities...They were Celebrating Earth Day with many booths and a live band.

Mitch and Kylee went to Curly's BBQ and had peach cobbler. While Hannah, Mike, and I went to a booth that was selling soap and lotion made from goat milk.. We were fascinated by the family that had this booth. They shared about their Goat Ranch which was in Dewey, AZ about 15 miles away.. Hannah is reading a book about a little girl who lives on a ranch and they have goats. She was thrilled to be able to hold a baby goat named Fifi.

Hannah hula hooping in the park was fun! They toss hula hoops on the ground and adults and kids pick them up and hoop while listening to the music.Mikayla shared her goat with Hannah and gave us a wealth of information about her 2,500 acre goat ranch. She won an award as Grand Champion for Dairy Goats.

The trip was an adventure... we thought are we nuts to be out here? I am glad we went. I know one thing I don't like to be cold!! When we got back on Sunday it only took a matter of minutes to thaw out!

Butterfly Treehouse

Hannah was given a butterfly treehouse for Christmas...She could hardly wait for the spring to send away for her live caterpillars... When they arrived they hardly moved and she was afraid they were dead. She had to wait and observe and before she knew it they began to eat and eat and eat....
Then they began to go to sleep upside down in their cozy chrysalis! Again she had to wait and wait.....Finally they began to emerge into beautiful Painted Lady butterflies...

She sprinkled sugar water on orange blossoms from our tree and placed them in the treehouse...
again she watched and observed ....But she knew she had to let them go!

Finally she had to say goodbye to her butterfly friends.... and they flew away... one landed in our neighbors tree.
We all enjoyed the beauty of God's creation changing right before our eyes. It truly is amazing to see this transformation!

The Grand Canyon

Grandma Clysta and Uncle Babe came to visit and we took a road trip to the Grand Canyon.

The last time we were here. I was pregnant with Hannah. She said it was worth the ride.

Thank you Heavenly Father for this wonderful beauty!!

Peek a Boo!

The day was Glorious! Sunny and a perfect 68 degrees.

Uncle Babe showing us the crane move!

Look at the size differences!!

Murphy and Bella are the best of friends. It is fun to watch them play together.Murphy will get down to Bella's level. Bella's nose looks like a little button and Murphy's nose is the size of a golf ball. Hannah dressed Bella up. She looks like a stuffed animal.

Aaron towers over his Granny Nanny!

The Puffy Pancake

Granny Nanny and Hannah made the puffy pancake for breakfast. First you cook on the stove and then you place it in the oven to make it puff. Everyone gave it the a thumbs up! Flavored with nutmeg, lemon, powdered sugar and fresh strawberries.
