Happy Birthday George!

Hannah and I read two fun books about George Washington. She learned that he is called the Father of Our Country. He was our first president and he led our nation both as a soldier and as a president. She found out what he ate for breakfast. She learned that he was a great leader because he had a servant heart. It has been such a privilege to share history with her from a biblical perspective.

I love Valentines Day! Love is in the air! A day to show your love for each other..I love my hubby, kids and my life! God has been good! The flowers are beautiful a gift to Kylee from Mitch.. Young Love! After being married for twenty two years I am amazed at how Mike and I think alike. We both needed comfortable shoes for work. I never said a word just thought what can I give him for Valentine's. He thought the same way. That morning we gave each other our gift and he had a box with shoes in it and I had the same. Ha Ha I think it is Special to know a person that well and to give them just what they need. I love that about Mike!! Romantic maybe not! But, I think it is! I love that guy more each day! He is my best friend! My partner in life! His blue eyes make me melt!!

Hannah and her art teacher Miss Rita... she's a very kind lady!

Today Hannah went to an art class with Miss Rita. She's a creative lady and a retired school teacher. She has a heart for art. We got to talking and She loves puppets too. I told her I want her to meet my mom. They drew a self portrait today with pencil and crayon watercolors.

Cell-a-brate!!

Orange jello with star bursts, gummy worms, skittles... Don't tell the dentist!

Today we learned about some very tiny forms of life. CELLS... We made an oversized cell and its many parts out of jello. This biology curriculum is Awesome by Stephanie Redmond. It is fun and very hands on. Hannah and I are learning a lot of interesting things. The best thing is God made it all!

Last week we had to put our beagle to sleep! Wow that was very hard for our family.

He was 12.5 years old. His body began to shut down. We will miss his presence in our house!
